Its been a while, so I thought I'd write on my hip-hop video review blog for once. For a while, I've been experimenting MGK's rap style and lyrics. Machine Gun 'Killer Rapper' Kelly? hahaha.. oh yeh, this is the kind of shit that I'm down wit, ya know what i'm saying'....
While he ain't at the level of Eminem, he certainly has the lyrical appeal and the rhyme skills to stay around for a couple of years. As long as he doesn't do a Vanilla Ice, I guess he is safe... 'n with Waka Flocka Flame in the force.... I think it is healthy and damn we need more of this. the hip-hop world is going thru a revival right now....
For someone who grew up listening to gangsta rap and hardcore hip-hop, I can't stress enough that we must not let soft-cock lame commercial rap, 'n that's why we still have T I, The Game, Izzy A plus a few others to keep the game tight 'n fresh.. Lamar 'n ASAP certainly fit the bill......
